I figured I should do a small headcanon on my fav dinosaur.
Allosaurus, the lion of path of titans.
Allosaurs are moderately social creatures that mainly work like gangs instead of highly organized packs. Most allosaur packs mainly consist of random specimens. Which explain why most packs are so unique in their members.
However, when a mother abandons their young, usually at around older adolescent or fresh sub-adult, siblings allosaurs will often pack up to increase their survival chances. It has also been observed that these packs are more organized and social. Which isn't too organized considering how far allosaurs go.
Allosaurs hunt a variety of prey, usually sauropods like amargasaurus, young argentinosaurus, etc, parasaurolophus, albertaceratopa and Iguanodon.
Allosaurs are moderately aggressive, and are constantly moving, rarely claiming territories and defending them. Often moving with herbivore herds and packing up with other allosaurs and rarely other allosaurids like acrocanthosaurus or giganotosaurus.
It has also been observed that allosaurs HIGHLY despise ceratosaurs. It is unclear why exactly. However it is thought that when allosaurs were first introduced, ceratosaurs were the number one killer of them, so allosaurs have adapted to be very aggressive towards ceratosaurs.
Female allosaurs will often abandon their packs if they have young, since dominant male allosaurs are likely to kill the young accidentally or intentionally, and returning to the pack once the young is juvenile-fresh adolescent, similar to lion behavior.
Funnily enough, allosaurs often mistake dinosaurs with long arms like metriocanthosaurus for fellow allosaurs, sometimes even approaching to pack up with them, but noticing allosaur allegedly was infact not an allosaur, often confusing the allosaur.
The most successful allosaur species is jimmedansi.
