Description[]
Ampelosaurus is a decently large, well armored, playable sauropod. Armored with various types of osteoderms and thick skin, it isn't an easy foe to contend with when full grown. It is a challenging, but reasonable opponent to the solo apexes of Path of Titans. Although strong, it is still easily conquerable in combat versus a pair of apexes, or pack of other carnivores. Slightly bigger than Amargasaurus, it seems to fit in well amongst them, and even provide effective protection for the smaller cousin.
While is isn't the fastest due to its sheer size and weight, it does boast a decent stamina pool. However, it's recovery rate is to be desired, so using it sparingly during a fight is recommended. A tired Ampelosaurus is very vulnerable to attacks.
Appearance[]
Ampelosaurus is a stockier build of sauropod, not quite tall, but not quite short. Built with the thought of tank in mind, it is covered in thick skin all over its body, the most vulnerable being its neck and stomach. Along its back are osteoderms of all different shapes and sizes, the most notable being the elongated, spine like growths, and armored plates. It walks with purpose, and one would not want to stumble under it by mistake. Definitely not a creature you would want to encounter carelessly.

Survival Tips[]
- While in combat, conserve your stamina as best as possible. Many of Ampelosaurus's attacks consume stamina, and being so large, regaining your strength will take time.
- Stomp takes time, try to immobilize your opponent before using this ability.
- Keep your tail to your enemy, it is your greatest asset. Your front end is more vulnerable, and easily outmaneuvered.
- Not a strong swimmer, it is not recommended to take your Ampelosaurus for a swim.
- Try your best to lay low as a juvenile - you are very vulnerable at a younger age.
- Be mindful when using Herd Alert, it will give a debuff to other Sauropods surrounding you for a decent amount of time before they are able to benefit from the ability again.
Paleo Info[]
"Ampelosaurus (/ˌæmpɪloʊˈsɔːrəs/ AM-pi-loh-SOR-əs; meaning "vine lizard") is a titanosaurian sauropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Period of what is now France. Its type species is A. atacis, named by Le Loeuff in 1995. A possible unnamed species has given Ampelosaurus an age reaching to the latest Cretaceous, from about 70 to 66 million years ago. Like most sauropods, it would have had a long neck and tail but it also carried armor in the form of osteoderms. Ampelosaurus is thought to have measured 15–16 m (49–52 ft) in length and about 8 metric tons (8.8 short tons) in body mass. [1]
(The in-game dinosaur is slightly upscaled to 17 meters from nose to tip of tail).
