Locational Damage[]
The amount of damage dinosaurs take is dependent on the location they are hit by an attack. Damage varies based on the dinosaur species, with some armored dinosaurs like Albertaceratops taking neutral damage from head attacks, but Daspletosaurus taking large damage from head attacks.
In general, head hits incur massive damage, body hits incur medium damage, and tail hits incur very little damage. When in combat, players should aim for weak points on players and also avoid exposing their weaker points to damage.
Healing[]
For all status effects, sitting, resting, or sleeping will increase your dinosaur's healing rate. It is highly recommended to sit or sleep after combat to heal your character back to a healthy state.
You may also discover certain items that can heal your character faster if used. For example, certain Mushrooms can provide a healing buff if eaten.
Some dinosaurs also can use healing buffs to heal their allies.
