Microraptor is an upcoming tiny feathered carnivore. It was a stretch goal reached during the Path of Titans crowdfunding campaign, and will be added as a playable creature some time after game release.

Description
The Microraptor will be a very small dinosaur, with less than a 1 metre wingspan, and will be the smallest playable creature when added. Microraptor will be able to climb trees, and glide from trunk to trunk. This opens up very interesting gameplay opportunities for a Microraptor player. They’re able to stay out of reach of predators, but are essentially limited to hunting small AI creatures or scavenging due to their tiny size.

Microraptor is a genus of small, four-winged paravian dinosaurs. Numerous well-preserved fossil specimens have been recovered from Liaoning, China. They date from the early Cretaceous Jiufotang Formation (Aptian stage), 120 million years ago. Three species have been named (M. zhaoianus, M. gui, and M. hanqingi), though further study has suggested that all of them represent variation in a single species, which is properly called M. zhaoianus. Microraptor adults were on average 0.7 meters and 0.5 kg. Microraptor belongs to the clade Microraptoria inside the larger Dromaeosauridae family.
