The Spinosaurus is a very large semi-aquatic carnivore. It is capable of huge damage, albeit at the disadvantage of being slow and bearing little stamina. However, it is surprisingly nimble in the water.
Description[]
Spinosaurus is iconic for its humongous sail and eel-like tail. Its arms are large, though its legs are proportionately smaller compared to other big theropods. A small crest lies atop its slender snout, and its skull somewhat resembles a crocodile's at a glance.
Paleo Info[]
Spinosaurus (meaning "spine lizard") is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived in what is now North Africa during the upper Albian to upper Turonian stages of the Cretaceous period, about 112 to 93.5 million years ago. This genus was known first from Egyptian remains discovered in 1912 and described by German paleontologist Ernst Stromer in 1915. The original remains were destroyed in World War II, but additional material has come to light in the early 21st century. It is unclear whether one or two species are represented in the fossils reported in the scientific literature. The best-known species is S. aegyptiacus from Egypt, although a potential second species, S. maroccanus, has been recovered from Morocco. Spinosaurus belongs to the tribe Spinosaurini which is apart to the family Spinosauridae. It is the largest member of its family. It was as massive predator of 46 to 49 ft long and weighing around 8.4 to 10 tones.

Trivia[]
- The design of the Spinosaurus was inspired by an Australian Water Dragon, with spines running down its neck and tail, and a Water Dragon skin to go along with it.[1] The water dragon skin was designed by a backer from the Indiegogo campaign.
- The Spinosaurus model was created by Jiggy in 2019, this was before the discovery of Spinosaurus tail fluke. Despite this, Jiggy predicted the fluke concept - even if its exact shape is inaccurate. It is unknown if Jiggy will ever return to the Spinosaurus aegyptiacus and change the tail to a paddle or not, and if she will this will happen farther into the games development future.
- You can actually make a Jurassic Park 3 Spinosaurus skin with the skin mod, IoA.
- The Spinosaurus Page was temporarily locked by an Administrator for unknown reasons.
- Spinosaurus having Nictitating Membrane is like most Semi-Aquatics, but is probably not accurate as Nictitating Membranes mainly exist in Crocodiles.
