Paleo Info

Tylosaurus is a mosasaur, a large, predatory marine reptile closely related to modern monitor lizards and snakes, from the Late Cretaceous. It was one of the top predators of the Late Cretaceous oceans and hunted down large plesiosaurs, prehistoric seabirds, large fish, large turtles like archelon and sometimes would probably engage in Cannibalism. They were very successful predators at the time and went extinct because of the KT extinction event. Tylosaurus adults are on average 12 meters long and 6 tonnes. Tylosaurus belongs to the family Mosasauridae.
